This phenomenon, known as “swiping fatigue,” is the feeling of exhaustion that comes from what seems like endless swiping and disappointing attempts to find real connections. Since 2020, downloads for dating apps including Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble have been on the decline due to tired and dissatisfied users.

@fexd I wonder if apps might work if het men and women used them the same. Many women have hordes of men paying to express interest to sort through so they don't bother with the normal feed. This leads to men never getting "organic" matches and resorting to pay-to-play to be seen. Women tend to be picky in chats since there's low stakes to match and more men in line. Men spend time & money for few chats. Woman spend time filtering men in chat but the paradox of choice leads to few real dates.
