An updated version of Notepad currently rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels is adding two more modern features to the old app: spellcheck and autocorrect. Per usual, spellcheck in Notepad highlights misspellings with red squiggly underlines, and right-clicking the word or pressing Shift + F10 will pop up a short menu of suggested fixes.

Facebook is quickly being overrun by dubious, AI-generated junk — which is somehow attracting huge amounts of attention from its aging user base. Last week, screenshots of a Facebook post drawing in hundreds of likes and comments with pictures of a "shrimp Jesus" went viral on X-formerly-Twitter. Judging by the comments, the researchers found that "many users are unaware of the synthetic origin of the images, though a subset of users post comments or infographics alerting others."

TechCrunch has learned and confirmed that LinkedIn is working on a new games experience. It will be doing so by tapping into the same wave of puzzle-mania that helped simple games like Wordle find viral success and millions of players. Three early efforts are games called “Queens”, “Inference” and “Crossclimb.”

However, Twitch differed from other streaming service watch parties. It wasn't intended to view movies with people you know but as a way for streamers to connect with fans over a good movie or show. A Twitch streamer just had to connect to Amazon Prime, pick a Prime Video (not something purchased or rented), and then get streaming. It was a great alternative to watching someone play a game, and in some ways, allowed the streamers to focus more on chatting with fans. "Was" being the key word as Twitch Watch Parties are coming to an end.

Discord will soon allow developers to build new games and apps that can be used directly in its chat app. A selection of minigames and apps have been available to Discord users for months now, but starting March 18th, all Discord developers will get access to a new Embedded App SDK that lets them build these special embedded apps.
