Shutterstock is well aware of the ethical concerns. In its announcement, the company said it plans on launching a fund to compensate artists who contributed to any AI art generation through the DALL-E 2 integration. This includes paying artists royalties when the AI-generated art they helped inspire is used.
“I would say the general public is quite tired of the e-scooters lying around,” said Daniel Mohlin, Nordics Regional Manager for Inurba Mobility, the company that won the seven-year contract for the new bikeshare program. “The most common comment has been, finally, there’s something to replace the e-scooters.”
Facebook’s parent Meta mentioned the possibility on Friday as Canada’s parliament has begun considering Bill C-18(Opens in a new window), also known as The Online News Act. The legislation is designed to require internet platforms such as Facebook and Google to reach commercial agreements to share revenue with news organizations.
In a statement(Opens in a new window), Meta says the company shouldn’t have to pay news publishers at all. Rather, the social network provider argues it provides free marketing to media companies by making it easy for people to voluntarily share news articles online.

Adobe is partnering with Wix. The plan is to integrate the ultra-modular Express Embed SDK into the popular website builder to boost creativity and simplify workflows.
According to Yaniv Vakrat, Chief Business Officer at Wix, the firm will “explore ways in which we can enable our users to use Adobe Express capabilities to enhance the image editing process in our Wix Media Manager.”
“Today’s announcement comes as the streaming giant suffers from a loss of nearly one million subscribers and looks for ways to earn more revenue. Last week, Netflix launched its cheaper ad-supported tier.”
