Nintendo made a music streaming app for Switch Online subscribers

While we all wait for the reveal of Nintendo’s next console, the company has once again announced something very different. This time, it’s a mobile app called Nintendo Music, which lets users listen to classic gaming tunes from Nintendo games spanning the last few decades, including Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda. It’s only available to Switch Online subscribers, and it’s launching today on both iOS and Android.

The free Delta game emulator for iPhones is live on Apple’s App Store

The app marks the first significant and officially sanctioned game emulator for the iPhone since Apple began allowing them, with wide-ranging console emulation from the original Nintendo Entertainment System to the Nintendo 64 (and even the Sega Genesis, for when you want to play those games that Nintendon’t).

Playing This Switch Game Requires a Roll of Toilet Paper

It sounds ridiculous, but the game No Paper!(Opens in a new window) developed by Takuhiro Miyazawa relies on a Joy-Con controller slotted inside the tube of a toilet paper roll to control the game. A large piece of cardboard or other flat surface that's comfortable to hold is also required to allow the toilet paper to roll back and forth.

Nintendo releases Animal Crossing’s big 2.0 update early

The major 2.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available to download, which is somewhat surprising because Nintendo previously said it wouldn’t be released until November 5th. That means you’ll be able to dive into all the new features two days earlier than expected.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the second best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. As of June 30th, Nintendo had sold 33.89 million copies.
