Remember Google Glass? It looks like the smart glasses line is finally dying out. On Wednesday, Google announced it's discontinuing the enterprise edition of the product, which had been retailing for $999. Despite the discontinuation of Glass Enterprise, Google told PCMag it still remains “deeply committed” to augmented reality products. “For years, we've been building AR into many Google products and we’ll continue to look at ways to bring new, innovative AR experiences across our product portfolio,” the company said in a statement.

Meta is moving on from more crypto projects, even though NFTs / digital collectibles were once pitched as part of its ‘metaverse’ future. “Across the company, we’re looking closely at what we prioritize to increase our focus,” Kasriel said. “We’re winding down digital collectibles (NFTs) for now to focus on other ways to support creators, people, and businesses.”

Vinyl record sales outperformed CDs in the US for the first time since 1987, according to a new report. Just over 41 million vinyl records were sold in 2022, to the tune of $1.2bn (£.99bn). Only 33 million CDs were sold, amounting to $483m. It was the 16th consecutive year of growth for record sales, about 71% of physical format revenues.
